The Inter-Club Projected Digital Image Championship is held each year and it recently completed on Saturday July 16th.
Catchlight were the only NIPA affiliated club to take part and continuing the clubs fine performance at National competition level, we placed joint 4th along with Smethwick Photographic Society, a fantastic achievement.
Also continuing individual club member success at National level, our member Hugh Wilkinson was awarded the PAGB Gold Medal for his image "Duelling Rooks".
Our bank of 40 images used across the 3 rounds of the competition:
Participant clubs are eligible to compete based on being in one of the following categories:
All the Finalists from the previous year (Top 8 and equal clubs)
The Plate competition winner from the previous year
And additionally, two Clubs from each Federation, chosen from amongst those Clubs affiliated to the PAGB via the Federation by any method that the Federation may determine
Each club assemble a bank of 40 images for the competition and then the competition takes place over 3 rounds as follows:
Round One - Entrant Club must provide its entry list of 8 Images for Round One, chosen from the Club’s Image Bank. There must be no more than 2 Images by each Photographer, and no more than 2 Nature Images
Round Two - Following Round One at the Event, each Entrant Club must provide its entry list of 8 Images for Round Two, chosen from the Club’s Image Bank. The Images must all be different from those entered for Round One. There must be no more than 2 Images by each Photographer, and no more than 2 Nature Images
Following Round Two, the scores for Rounds One and Two will be totalled. The top eight and equal Clubs may compete in the Final. (The remaining Clubs may compete in the Plate)
The Final - Each Entrant Club must provide its entry list of 20 Images for the Final, chosen from the Club’s Image Bank. No more than 10 of these Images may have been used in Rounds One and Two. There must be no more than 4 Images by each Photographer, and no more than 5 Nature Images.
